1.2.5. VLANs
A virtual local area network (VLAN) is a virtual broadcast domain. It allows virtual network segmentation using different network IP address.

Network segmentation is one of the capacities of openNAC technology, so according to VLAN configurations, several VLANs would be managed by openNAC into the network. By default the VLANs are:
Service
Registry
Quarantine
Also some network segments can be excluded from openNAC administration, so clients can define an unmanaged network segment.
You can find the VLAN configuration section in the Default Administration Portal under ON CMDB > VLANs.
In the NextGen Administration Portal, this section is located under Configure > System data > VLANs.
If you have any doubts regarding which portal documentation you should refer to, read the Administration Portal section. There you can find the details about both portals and the use cases they support.
