OpenNAC Enterprise has an agent for endpoints. Several tasks are accomplished by the OpenNAC Agent, but the main function is to collect endpoint information for compliance purposes.
Native agents for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS provide more visibility and control of these endpoints in a corporate network. OpenNAC Agent main features are:
It provides detailed visibility and profiling of the endpoints connected to the corporate network.
The Native agent is developed using .NET to ensure maximum performance, minimum resources needed, maximum portability, and minimum software requirements.
Deployment of the agent can be done using any corporate software distribution solution.
It can be used as a permanent service, as a soluble solution, or as a command line command.
Communication with OpenNAC Core is done using the standard HTTPS protocol.
The client does not need to configure it, since all configuration is centrally provided by the OpenNAC Core.
Designed not to impact the performance and stability of the endpoint.
