3.1.6.3. Networks
You can register various networks within your infrastructure in the ON CMDB.

To add a new network to the OpenNAC Enterprise CMDB, use the Add new button.

Note
Ensure that the fields Name, Network (Network IP), Mask, Gateway, Owner, and VLAN (role type) are filled out. The only field that can be left blank is the Network Device Default Tags.
The VLAN field features a drop-down list where all the VLANs previously created in the ON CMDB > VLANs section will appear:

The Network Device Default Tags field allows you to add as many tags as needed. Once OpenNAC discovers a new network device, it will check its IP to know which network it belongs to. If the network is already registered in the CMDB, and it has some Network Default Tags associated, it will assign them to the network device.
Note
Network Device Default Tags will only be assigned during the first interaction.

To edit any specific network, use the Edit button to modify any parameter.
To edit a group of networks, select multiple networks and use the Bulk edit button. With this option, you will only be able to modify the Owner, VLAN and Network Default Tags.
