SNMPΒΆ

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a set of protocols for network management and monitoring. These protocols are supported by many typical network devices such as routers, switches, servers, workstations, printers, etc. The most frequently used SNMP messages are traps. These are sent to server by an agent when an issue needs to be reported. openNAC uses SNMP traps to discover networks, and as visibility use case source of information.
