CMDBΒΆ
A configuration management database (CMDB) is a database that contains all relevant information about the hardware and software components used by openNAC, it also contains the relationships between those components. A CMDB provides a complete and organized view of configuration data.
As explained before the openNAC Core includes an internal CMDB which can be accessible from administration portal.
In ON CMDB can be found the information regarding all the objects considered in any openNAC configuration, for more operational information review ON CMDB.
There are many other subcomponents such as Security profiles or User Data sources, these components can be used by other components like policy engine after register them in ON CMDB.
