Going to Configuration -> Configuration vars allows to set default parameters and general configuration parameters to be used by openNAC technologies.

Enable captive portal, default switches credentials, default plugins configuration, notifications, OTP, and many others are available.

At generic tab is possible to set the time to include events in the database as shown by Step 1 , by default are 1800 seconds, this optimization is created to avoid the same events with same source IP, destination, policy used and so on.

Kibana IP allows to set the ip address for openNAC Analytics server as shown by the Step 2, by default the kibana’s port is 5601 (normally not required to be changed) as shown by the Step 5.

openNAC allows to work using VLAN names instead of using VLAN Ids, is possible to define VLANs name in the switches such as VLANSERVICE and send this stream instead its VLAN ID.
