3.1.5. ON NetBackup

The functionality provided by ON NetBackup allows to remotely back up the running configuration of the different network devices existing in the corporate network.

This module can be executed manually or programmed through schedules.

Note

Be aware that the devices must already exist in the CMDB database.

Before performing any configuration task, it is important the terminology related to the ON NetBackup module and its corresponding concepts, representing levels of configuration and customization:

• View Backups: See the backups recovered from the different network devices.

• NetBackup Scheduler: Schedule the recovery and/or execution of compliance tests of the different network devices.

• NetBackup Log: See the record of backup recovery executions and/or compliance tests.

• Network device compliance: Section related to network device configuration compliance tests.

  • NetDevice Tests: Creation of the different compliance tests.

  • NetDevice Global parameters: Creation of global parameters for use in compliance tests.
