1.2.4. Tags
OpenNAC includes a very flexible component named Tags, these tags can be used for many different proposes inside the product.
Some tags are automatically generated, and other tags need to be created manually , it depends on the customer’s requirements. This advantage allows you to fully customize the product.
Tags are described using a prefix name. The product includes and generates many out-of-the-box tags related to the assets and their context, as a reference we have for instance:
These tags are inserted in User Devices to improve and maintain updated user device information (Open ports, DNS Queries, OS version, and so on). The following image shows some tags inserted in one user device:
