3.3.7. VPN Gateway update
This section explains how to update the VPN Gateway nodes.
Warning
Updating a VPN Gateway node overwrites the /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg file. A backup is saved in /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg.backup. Once the node is updated, it is important that the configuration in the backup file, if necessary, is applied in the new haproxy file so that the environment remains the same as before.
To update a VPN Gateway node, we must access the CMI web portal where it is deployed. It is necessary that the CMI node is updated before proceeding with the VPN Gateway update. In the “Manage -> Appliances” section we can see all the deployed nodes. Click on the “+” of the node that we want to update to display the options and press the “upgrade” option.
It is also possible to upgrade it by right-clicking on the node and selecting “Upgrade”.

In this step, a new window will appear and will tell us if there is any update for this node. If it exists, we accept the update and wait for it to complete.

This will start the VPN Gateway node upgrade process. We will have to wait until it finishes to access the node again. After the update process is finished, it is recommended to reboot the machine.
